Cyberstom Access promises to change the competitive landscape and refresh a format that is already rather diverse. Many older strategies get additional support and new engines emerge. Now is the time to prepare for the storm and pick up the cards that become more relevant with access to Access!
1. Anti-Purrely Stuff
has always been considered to have a lot of potential, but it never really saw much competitive success since there was always a superior alternative. However, with the release of Cyberstorm Access, Purrely are getting a huge boost that makes the deck churn out very consistently while making sure it will be difficult to get rid of.
Because Herald of the Abyss affects the player and not Noir itself, it can bypass its protection effect. If you do not like Herald of the Abyss, does the same thing since the detach effect is ruled as not to be affecting the monster it targets. In addition to that, both are very good against Kashtira since they can easily out and . Seeing how these cards will be affecting two decks that are considered to be among the biggest contenders after Cyberstorm Access, prepare to regularly see one or even both of them in the side decks to come.
2. Superheavy Samurai Stuff
With the new support for Superheavy Samurai, the engine is expected to be splashed into many decks, provided you give up on using spell and trap cards and play monster mash decks. , , , and , along with , are the main cards you will need to utilize the new support.

3. Synchro Monsters
As Superheavy Samurai and Mannadium are both synchro-based decks, we will likely see a lot of synchro monsters going forward—especially if Naturia Runick doesn't get hit by the ban list in the foreseeable future. There are many generic synchro monsters that are quite playable right now, including those mentioned in the previous section. Also, the incredible will finally find a home in some synchro-focused decks. Its price hike is just an indicator of how useful this card will be once the new set drops.
4. Visas Starfrost and Its Friends?
Mannadium is one of the decks in the lore, and, surprisingly enough, it happens to actually utilize Visas. The set includes a new fusion monster that specifically requires Visas Starfrost as material, meaning that you can use cards such as into to dump Visas Starfrost into the graveyard from your deck and access it later on. Alternatively, you can use to grab , which would add Visas Starfrost to your hand.
If you want to experiment with a Mannadium, you might want to look into the above cards to see which ones fit your playstyle and, at this point, possibly budget.
5. Gold Pride Cards
With the reveal of the new wave of Gold Pride cards, the deck suddenly appears to be very playable. I will not get into its details now, but they get , which gives the deck access to fusion summoning. With it comes their new fusion monster, , which allows you to equip a minimum of two monsters from your opponent's side of the field to it on summon—a pretty nasty effect. They also get some very good spell support to boost the deck's consistency. Time to pick up the Gold Pride cards from the previous set as this deck suddenly appears to have so much potential, especially when paired with the Punk engine.
It is a good deck to test out, but I recommend you try it before investing into it, considering that and the rest of the good Gold Pride cards have shot up in price. The deck has a lot of unexplored potential that should be given a chance if you are willing to risk losing on time as it likes to have lower life points than the opponent.
There are lots of hidden gems in Cyberstorm Access, and a lot of already existing support for the new ones. The set itself will have a strong impact on the competitive landscape, but it needs to be paired with older cards to reach its full potential. I did not cover everything that is needed to be picked up for the set. However, in my opinion, these were the most important cards.
