There's taking the initiative and then there's taking away taking the initiative. Yesterday Wizards announced the banning of four cards from Pauper.

Here's a deck that was running three of them and, honestly, not doing much else. This was enough to win a Pauper Challenge, swiftly sweeping the Top 8 playoffs 6-0 in games. "NotGood" indeed.

For the first time ever, there is not a single creature in Standard that has no rules text. The last two vanilla creatures from a Standard-legal set rotated out of the format along with Strixhaven. Carl takes a moment to remember some of the greats.
