Wednesday

Thoralf shares a nugget of tournament advice that he learned the hard way. That sometimes, if you cannot beat them, you just have to join them.

Thursday

Heuristics are ways to simplify a problem to help solve it. Toffel explains how this works in Magic, using the "a little bit slower" rule and applying its principles to the matchups between aggro, midrange, and control in the current Pioneer meta. As a bonus, he also explains why this won't work with combo decks.

Here's a deck that goes a little bigger/slower than the fastest aggro decks but faster than control:

Sunday

Good Commander cards are traps! Thoralf presents his theory as to why strong cards make you lose more often rather than win more often in Commander and how to fix the problem.
