WOE is upon us! Every workday while the set is new, Insight takes a quick look at a deck featuring the latest additions from Wilds of Eldraine. There are already multiple builds utilizing the craziness that is Blossoming Tortoise. Let's take a look at one Pioneer build with an infinite combo attached.
Out of all the crazy abilities that has, one stands out without fault. Not only does it return lands from the graveyard to the battlefield and pumps land creatures, it also discounts their abilities by one mana. Given the lack of limitations, this means you get to turn into a 3/3 shapeshifting creature completely free of charge! Not quite as cheap, turns into a 2/2 for one green mana under the Tortoise's gudiance.
Once upon a time, the combo of and became infamous because it really required just two spells, one creature and one Aura, to attack for unlimited damage. This deck includes a combination that does the same and also requires just two spells, likewise one creature and one Aura. The first spell is our Turtle friend, the second is , which gives its target flying, haste, and the ability to increase its power by 1 for a single mana. Realistically, neither plan is going to work all the time, so the rest of the deck still looks and plays like Gruul Midrange. is one easy way of winning games, and so are and , especially when accelerated by the typical eight . makes additional use of the Thrillseeker, and of course any creature can pick up Draconic Destiny.
