Bill the Lizard didn't exactly get top billing in 1951's Alice and Wonderland, but he did deliver a spectacular stunt performance in a famously "big" scene: After Alice eats the cookie that makes her grow so large she gets stuck in the White Rabbit's house, Bill is tasked to go down the chimney. However, the soot thus dislodged causes giant Alice to sneeze giantly, which shoots Bill off into the sky and out of the picture.
The character's first card, Bill the Lizard - Chimney Sweep, can make a similarly quick trip—either to the field as a one-drop or to your inkwell. Take a look at the full playbill in two languages here!
The stats seem fair. After all, it's a small bill, almost chump change. But this chump can change by gaining Evasive, and it is this ability that may earn the card a place in a few decks—especially now that Emerald is on the rise again.
In particular, it might prove perfect for the new Ruby-Emerald strategies that put damage counters on characters. One can easily imagine Bill alongside older cards like Mother Gothel - Withered and Wicked, more recent additions such as Queen of Hearts - Unpredictable Bully and Wake Up, Alice!, or the brand-new Dormouse - Easily Agitated.
As Wonderland compatriots, the latter three would suit Bill in both function as well as flavor. It's basically a theme deck! This is what people must mean when they say that "something fits the Bill."
