The survey below asks you how many physical, ready-to-play TCG decks you have right now.
Because we like to play games, it also asks you to guess how many decks the average Cardmarket user has. (That is, guess the median of all answers submitted to the first question.)
We randomly pick seven winners whose guess differs by up to 1.5 from the correct answer.
We randomly pick seven winners whose guess differs by up to 3.5 from the correct answer.
We randomly pick seven winners from among everyone who takes our survey.

How exactly you interpret the first question is of course up to you. (We can't check anyway.) Just note that the contest part relies on the median, which you can't really manipulate by submitting some outrageous number, so you might as well give us an accurate count.

What you can see here is our "Tower of Games" containing two ready-to-play decks for each of 30 different TCGs! At home we also have a ton of Magic Commander decks, a few Digimon decks, and a bunch of tournament-level One Piece decks. It's a pool of 108 we share, so technically you have to put both of us down for 54 decks each.

I actually do not have any deck … yet. When I grew up, in India, TCGs weren't a big thing. We only had WWE cards and some Pokémon app. But since I joined Cardmarket, I started getting into Magic, have already participated in five company drafts, and played Commander with borrowed precons. I want to build a deck of my own too, but so far I got so much conflicting advice on where to start!

Here are a few of my favorites. In total I can offer 23 Yu-Gi-Oh! decks plus sixteen Commander decks … and counting. I only started playing Commander about a year ago, but it quickly became one of my obsessions. While I do try to give each deck I build the time it deserves to be played, I constantly find myself drawn to new deck ideas to expand my collection and come up with new ways to play the game. So I have 39 decks right now, but ask me again next month, and that number is likely going to be higher.

I don't have the largest collection but put a lot of effort into my five Commander decks. I like to foil them out and to use the most rare versions of cards. This way I at least have an incentive to commit to and stick with a deck. For example, I've owned and have been updating my deck since 2013, and it's still the one I play the most. I'm also pretty competitive about deck building, as you can see on my Moxfield page. Whenever there's a better card for a slot, I have to get it and will replace an old card. And yes, of course I still buy and sell my cards on Cardmarket, just like any regular TCG enthusiast.

Fele, Video Editor/Animator/Talent:

I have more decks than I can carry, not even because of the weight but for the sheer volume. However, now I finally took stock of my full TCG inventory at home. Not counting KeyForge and four different Cubes, I have a Yu-Gi-Oh! Domain deck and a One Piece starter deck, five Flesh and Blood decks, six Lorcana decks, eight old Star Trek CCG decks, eight Magic decks designed to teach new people, and 110 Commander decks. My favorite of them all is /. (A habit of mine is building weak decks with strong commanders, which is such a "smart trick" because then everyone will target you.) That makes a grand total of 139 TCG decks, which means I win this challenge, right?

Conditions of Participation and Privacy Policy for the Deck Number Contest of Sammelkartenmarkt GmbH & Co. KG

§ 1 Organizer and Scope

(1) These terms and conditions of participation and data protection information govern the participation in the deck number contest of Sammelkartenmarkt GmbH & Co. KG, Nordkapstr. 4, 10439 Berlin (hereinafter referred to as "the organizer") by the participants as well as the collection and use of data collected from or communicated by participants.

(2) By participating in the competition participants accept these conditions of participation.

§ 2 Conditions of Participation

(1) The participation period begins on September 17, 2026, at 02:00 CEST and ends on September 27, 2026, at 23:59 CEST.

(2) Every valid Cardmarket account is eligible to participate. Such an account can be opened free of charge at www.cardmarket.com. Excluded from participation are employees of the organizer as well as employees of cooperation partners who are or were involved in the creation or execution of the giveaway. The organizer may further exclude from the competition participants who provide incorrect information, violate these terms, or who attempt to influence the competition or the draw with the help of technical manipulation without notice or explanation. In such a case, prizes may also be subsequently withdrawn and reclaimed.

(3) Every eligible Cardmarket account under whose username the survey available at https://www.cardmarket.com/en/Insight/Articles/how-many-decks-do-you-have and https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/MS73NQT is submitted during the participation period automatically participates in the contest. For each username only the latest submission shall be considered.

(4) Any other registration or application to participate is neither required nor possible. In particular, tickets submitted through the organizer's customer support system cannot be considered.

§ 3 Winner Selection, Notification, and Processing

(1) Following the conclusion of the participation period, the organizer shall calculate the median of all numbers submitted to the survey's first question, taking into account the final submission from each eligible participant. This median shall be considered the correct answer to the survey's second question. A randomized drawing among all eligible participants whose final number submitted to the survey's second question differs from the correct answer by a maximum of 1.5 shall determine seven winners. A randomized drawing among all eligible participants whose final number submitted to the survey's second question differs from the correct answer by a maximum of 3.5 shall further determine another seven winners. Finally, a randomized drawing among all eligible participants shall determine another seven winners. In case fewer than seven participants' final submissions differ from the correct answer by a maximum of 1.5 or 3.5, a randomized drawing among all eligible participants shall determine further winners, as necessary to reach a total of 21 winners.

(2) Each of the 21 winners thus selected shall receive a notification and a coupon code for €20, redeemable within ten weeks at www.cardmarket.com/Account/Coupons, sent via email to the primary email address connected to the winner's Cardmarket account. Such funds can be used on the marketplace of the organizer to make purchases from the entire product catalog. No conditions or limitations apply. No minimum purchase is required.

(3) Each winner shall further receive one Cardmarket-branded Azurite DOMARU Armory by Gatherers' Tavern, shipped to the default shipping address connected to winner's Cardmarket account no later than two months after the conclusion of the participation period.

(4) Payment of any prize in cash, in kind, its exchange or transfer to other persons or accounts is not possible.

§ 4 Data Protection

(1) Personal data may be processed for the purpose of conducting the competition and for statistical and analytical purposes, such as to improve the user product discovery. Data collected may include the username, user-ID, full, name, and/or contact details of the natural person. The participant gives explicit consent for processing their data. Legal basis for that purpose is Art. 6 (1) lit. a, b GDPR. Data will be deleted after completion of the activities unless legal retention obligations apply. In the case of processing for statistical and analytical purposes, personal data will be stored only for as long as necessary for the purposes set out in 4(2). To the extent possible, the organizer will process such data in a pseudonymized form and will anonymize or delete the data once individual identification is no longer required. Analyses may therefore be performed using only the participant's user ID, username or other pseudonymized identifiers. The organizer's privacy policy applies (www.cardmarket.com/Policies/PrivacyPolicy).

(2) Personal data may furthermore be used for statistical and analytical purposes in order to evaluate and improve the organizer's products, services, user acquisition and retention strategies, marketing activities and event-related campaigns. Such analyses may be conducted on an individual or aggregated basis and may be used to assess the success of marketing and customer engagement initiatives.

(3) Participants give their consent to be named and/or be visible in social media posts or on the website of the organizer.

§ 5 Liability

(1) The following exclusions and limitations of liability shall apply to the liability of the organizer for damages, irrespective of the other legal requirements for claims.

(2) The organizer shall be liable without limitation insofar as the cause of the damage is based on intent or gross negligence.

(3) The above limitations of liability shall not apply in the event of injury to life, limb or health, for a defect following the assumption of guarantees for the quality of a product and in the event of fraudulently concealed defects. Liability under the Product Liability Act remains unaffected.

(4) Insofar as the liability of the organizer is excluded or limited, this shall also apply to the personal liability of employees, representatives, and vicarious agents of the organizer.

§ 6 Other

(1) These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany. The exclusive place of jurisdiction is Berlin, Germany.

(2) The competition may be terminated or removed due to internal or external circumstances and constraints, without this giving rise to any claims by participants against the organizer. The organizer reserves the right to change the conditions of participation at any time.
