Battle of Budgets: €0 Versus €100.000

Can a deck you literally get for free ever beat one that costs 100.000 euros? Probably. But to speed things up and make things fairer, Thoralf is allowed to add cards between rounds until Carl can't keep up anymore. How many cards and rounds are needed?

If you watched the video to the end, you know that Thoralf finally managed to win, in part, because he used to protect the ability of from Carl's . This should not have worked. Veil of Summer does say that Thoralf's spells can't be countered, but his triggered abilities still can! Of course, a realistic test of paper Magic must include the odd mistake. We don't believe many people would have caught the error out in the wild either—especially not when one player is so happy about a play.
