The fine folks at Gatherers' Tavern have once again partnered with Konami to create official Yu-Gi-Oh! accessories. And they have partnered with Cardmarket so we can give away free goodies to our users!
Their latest ARTY Bag design is based on everyone's favorite kitten. It fits a regular Yu-Gi-Oh! deck case and offers fursome protection plus pawsome style.
What You Can Win
- Eight winners each receive one Rescue Cat ARTY Bag (see above).
- Five winners are randomly selected from among all submissions.
- Three winners are picked based on who submits the best solution to our challenge (details below). Ties shall be broken, if necessary via another randomized draw.
How You Can Win
Imagine the only useful card you have is one

"Best" means: Find a line using cards that reduce the life points of a defenseless opponent as much as possible this turn. It's a simple proposition in theory, but Yu-Gi-Oh! is a complicated game, so let's go over some necessary limitations and clarifications:
- Your opponent has presented a deck with an undefined number of cards, all of which are undefined blanks.
- Your opponent had the first turn of the duel and passed with five of these undefined blank cards in hand.
- Your opponent can take any damage, lose any number of life points, but their actual life point total is undefined.
- You didn't draw an opening hand, but your first draw phase just gave you one
. - It's now your first main phase. You have 8,000 life points, 59 shuffled cards left in your deck plus 15 in your extra deck.
- These 74 cards can include any TCG cards as long as your full 75 follows the current Forbidden & Limited List.
- If you ever can't be sure what you get when you draw/access one of these 74 cards, you get an undefined blank card.
- Any choice to be made by your opponent or to be made at random remains undefined.
- Any line of play that requires anything undefined to be something in particular simply does not work. If you can demonstrate that your same predetermined set of cards leads to the same outcome independent of anything undefined, that works. But your submission cannot make any assumption regarding any undefined card/choice/life point total. If you still find a loophole here that allows you to circumvent the spirit of this stipulation, we appreciate your comment (at the bottom of this page) but reserve the right to disqualify such a solution as well.
Anything not mentioned above follows the rules for a regular game of Yu-Gi-Oh! of course. Note that we have a certified rules expert on staff who volunteered to review submissions accordingly. His verdict is what counts.
