This is my interpretation of a story that has also been covered officially. I encourage you to take everything you read here with a grain of salt.
The Legendary Six, Part 2
Except for , all the original Legendary Six Samurai are still alive. However, Shinai is still around as . We also already know about , which was explained in the previous article.
Similarly, grew older, got himself some mechanical arms, and became . His upper limbs have likely been replaced due to his age as there is no evidence of him losing them in battle. Aside from his hands, the Grandmaster had his right eye replaced with a mechanical one that did not only enhance his sight, but also came with the ability to shoot some kind of laser, which he used to write on . Six scrolls, to be exact, probably one for each of the new Six Samurai. It is unknown what he actually wrote in them, but the use of the word is certainly suspicious. However, he might as well have written about their abilities and training, and nothing more than that.
Due to the fact that —yeah he is a shogun now— has gotten really , has pretty much replaced him as . He and Kizan, now Grandmaster, are still rivals, fighting each other. They probably also for the position of chancellor. It is worth noting that Enishi does not seem to have any of his limbs replaced with mechanical ones.
The last remaining member of the original Legendary Six Samurai, , is now the . She has grown older, but does not have any prosthetics. Shien's has also grown older and been promoted to a . The has created a small of .
As we already know, Shien is an evil guy. Through dark magic, he seems to have made himself immortal. He doesn't seem to age at all, and is surrounded by an ominous purple aura. The monsters living under his rule do not seem too happy about it. In fact, there have been several attempts at taking his life.
The Ninjas had sent one of their best Shien. However, Shien survived the attack. The Ojamas also tried to . While Shien was riding his through a rocky valley, alongside , , , and two of his , four little, perky beasts threw huge boulders at them.
, , , and were the culprits, but got away with it. None of the Samurai or Shien seem to have been hurt in the surprise attack.
The monsters of the world were not the only ones who have had enough with Shien. The Samurai, as well, could see and feel his fall into darkness. But for one of them it wasn't just a gut feeling. Mizuho, after seeing the spirit of Shinai under the , knew the truth about his death, and so did their son. Yes, Mizuho and Shinai had a son. He was not just some random kid and, of course, you have already met him. He is , , and now !
The plot against the dark monarch was about to unfold. It was now or never. The timing was perfect as Shien was tired from the many attempts on his life.
Just like every other night in the , the old Samurai were sitting alongside Shien. Suddenly, the doors of the main entrance burst open. The unexpected intruder was . He had his katana out, facing Shien, who also drew his sword. Shadow was backed up by both Grandmaster and Enishi, who were all part of the plot and knew they had to finally stand up to Shien. also involved Mizuho, who was waiting behind the distracted Shien, ready to strike him.
Shien quickly saw through their plan and, with a huge blast of dark magic, Mizuho out of the equation. He was now ready to come face to face with Shadow. Grandmaster and Enishi did not seem to want to intervene.
The two Samurai clashed their swords. Their powers were equal. The strikes of their katanas created lightning and caused a huge sound burst that had Enishi and Grandmaster struggle to remain on their feet. Unfortunately, we do not have more artworks about this battle, but I will try to fill in the gaps.
The two warriors fought and fought for hours, but they were . At some point though, the first rays of sunlight were starting to appear. The necklace of Shadow, which belonged to the father, the symbol of Shinai, started to glow as it was touched by the light. The spirit of Shinai boosted his son's strength, who then with a powerful strike defeated Shien!
In most card lores, the story is told mostly through the artworks. Obviously, for normal monsters, the card text provides additional information on the story. But when it comes to effect monsters, this isn't the case, and the story is rarely related to their effect. For example, has an effect that banishes, and will bring an ally onto the field. So these monsters have a somewhat related effect. On the contrary, you can't say the same thing for all of forms.
In the case of the Six Samurai, Enishi, old and young, keeps a similar effect. Shien has an altered version of his skill as he gets older. Kizan has the same effect, and his attack is always 2,100. Kageki lost his arms, so he does not have an effect anymore, and Mizuho is still an assassin, destroying monsters.
The Secret
Years later, the bushido signal would light up once again, and a new group of six warriors would rise, .
As of now, we have no details about how the new team was formed, but we know who they are: , , , , , and —once again, one for each attribute.
In contrast to some of their earlier counterparts, the Secret Samurais' armors don't seem to have any built-in electronics and don't need to recharge in order to function. They appear to be wearing regular armor and clothes like the original Legendary Six Samurai did long before them.
It is worth noting that Kizaru is accompanied by and . The two monkeys seem to have found a new leader after Shien's death. They are also seen with him in .
Sadly, not much is known about the new generation's adventures. is sometimes seen . By impersonating the great shogun, he creates a sense of fear in all the wrongdoers while he and his team continue to serve as vigilantes.
We are certain of death at the hands of . However, this wasn't the last time we saw the shogun. Shien was so relentless, not even death could stop him. His spirit is the only thing surviving through the past, present, and future of the Six Samurai.
