Who's Ruling the Darkness?
Stop with the rap battles, enough is enough. Tell the story properly before I make your life tough. These were the words of , and I have to obey. Under no circumstances am I willing to pay. Okay, I'm going to stop. No more rhymes from here on.
So, this is the story of . His powers, his minions, his rivalries, and maybe his end. As any self-respecting ruler of darkness, Ha Des was making with random strangers looking for help. Obviously, all deals would end up with the Dark Ruler gaining something. From the effect of this , we can tell that is one of Ha Des' minions. It is also worth noting the obvious—his name is based on Hades from Greek mythology, who, as king of the underworld, was similarly making deals with various heroes.
The Dark Ruler isn't just making deals though. His powers go way beyond that. You don't want to be around when he . Neither, you want to fall victim to his magic and . If you are lucky, he will only one of his minions to deal with you.
Speaking of minions, Dark Ruler Ha Des has plenty of servants at his disposal. His most powerful one is , who has already been mentioned. His next strongest minion is , as suggested by his own card text. Moving on, is also under the of Ha Des. The Dark Ruler does not only have subordinates, he has . Powerful fiend monsters like and seem to be on the same side as Ha Des. It is unclear, however, if he considers them allies or simple pawns for his deeds.
A ruler of darkness like him does not only have friends and loyal servants. Obviously, he has enemies, too. Weirdly enough, his opponents are not warriors of light or something. One of them is a former servant of his, and one the previous . has certainly turned once, trying to rule over the ruler.
Dark King of the Abyss, on the other hand, lost his former position after being by Ha Des. As a result, Dark King left and started wandering into the . He wasn't just killing time there, though. He was preparing for his revenge against Ha Des. He trained himself to be way more powerful than . Upon returning to his former grounds, he immediately using a bomb from . But of course, a brutish attempt like that was easily deflected by . Except that …
It was just part of plan he meticulously crafted while wandering inside the deep darkness of the abyss. The bomb was a mere diversion. As Ha Des was stopping it, the Dark King used his newfound powers to the strengths of Ha des. Afterwards, he sucked the very essence of his out of him. Finally, he the very spirit of Ha Des. Using its energy, the Dark King a beam onto Ha Des, . That was the end of the Dark Ruler. Or was it?
A plot twist once more, somehow was brought back to life, in a new, powerful . He had become so much stronger, he was able to bring other deceased back to . He had only one purpose, though. He was completely driven by vengeance. He wanted his now gone. Using his new powers, this seemed like an easy and simple feat. He found the Dark King and just him with his bare hands.
You're probably thinking this was the end of their story. Well, you would be wrong. There is more to it. attempted to instantly . However, the zombie Ha Des had a new ally by his side—, the gatekeeper of the Netherworld, completely the Dark King's effort to be reborn. At the same time, grabbed the Dark King and once and for all.
Risebell's Misfortune
Every afternoon, was sitting on a plain alongside his , reading a magical book. One fateful day, however, they were not alone in their routine. Inside some bushes behind them, two dark figures were lurking. One was , accompanied by her sitting by her side.
All of a sudden, came out of the bushes and jumped onto Risebell. Using the powers of , she tried to hypnotize him. Her attempt was successful. She turned the young kind boy into with new powers. Even the doglike creatures and the totem he had with him changed. From playful and happy, they became dark and kinda sinister looking.
The now transformed Risebell was under Hypnosister's control. However, his did not just stand still and watch her brother fall into oblivion. She had powers, too. Not as strong as her brother's, but strong enough to wake him up from the hypnosis. Using their as a basis, she managed to reach her brother's consciousness and help him fight off control.
The result was unexpected. Risebell did not manage to return to his original form, but neither was he under Hypnosister's control anymore. He was now in a draining in-between . His situation was so horrible, the one who him in the first place, now wanted to help him. And that's what she did, despite her disapproval. Hypnosister used a dreamcatcher to help Risebell.
Or did she? Risebell ascended to a new, far more powerful . The dogs and the totem also transformed entirely as well. seems to be able to fully control his powers, former and new ones, wearing the dreamcatcher around his neck. Unfortunately, it appears to be impossible for him to return to his initial self. But, most importantly, it is uncertain if he is in control or, once again, under Hypnosister's hypnosis.
