Can you identify a card when everything except the eyes in its illustration is covered in pitch-black darkness? Show us how much Yu-Gi-Oh! you know, and you can win up to €50 in Cardmarket credit!

Let's play a game! It's a simple but not necessarily an easy game. Below you can find images of ten Yu-Gi-Oh! cards, but the majority of each image is blacked out. If you can still tell us which cards any of these are, there are prizes waiting for you:

Sixteen randomly selected winners each receive €5 per correctly identified card. So if you're selected and have all ten card names, you get €50.

There also are some rules:

List and submit your answers in a comment at the bottom of this page by November 6. Don't worry when your comment shows as "pending" at first and doesn't show up at all later. Comments only become visible to everyone once our Halloween party is over and we turn up the lights.
Enter the email address that is connected to your Cardmarket account into the email field when you comment. This entry of course remains hidden forever. Only we can see emails and use them to pick/identify/credit winners.
Feel free to leave multiple comments but submit no more than ten card names. You can add cards with another comment later. But if you submit more than ten cards across all your comments, your final comment needs to list the ten that should count.

Conditions of Participation and Privacy Policy for the Yu-Gi-Oh! Halloween Contest 2025 of Sammelkartenmarkt GmbH & Co. KG

§ 1 Subject matter

(1) These terms and conditions of participation and data protection information govern the participation in the competition of Sammelkartenmarkt GmbH & Co. KG, Nordkapstr. 4, 10439 Berlin (hereinafter referred to as the "organizer") as well as the collection and use of data collected from or communicated by participants.

(2) By participating in the competition participants accept these conditions of participation.

§ 2 Conditions of participation

(1) The participation period begins on October 30, 2025, at 3:00 CET and ends on November 6, 2025, at 23:59 CET.

(2) Every person with a valid Cardmarket account is eligible to participate. Such an account can be opened free of charge at www.cardmarket.com. Excluded are accounts held by employees of the organizer as well as employees of cooperation partners who are or were involved in the creation or execution of the competition.

(3) Every eligible person who submits any comments under the exact email address connected to their Cardmarket account at the bottom of this page during the participation period automatically participates in the competition, provided at least one comment clearly identifies at least one card whose illustration matches one of the partially obscured images posted above.

(4) Any other registration or application to participate is neither required nor possible. In particular, tickets submitted through the organizer's support system cannot be considered.

§ 3 Processing, payment, notification, publication of winner data

(1) Following the conclusion of the participation period, a randomized drawing between all different email addresses thus submitted shall determine sixteen winners, excluding those whose comments do not identify any card whose illustration matches one of the partially obscured images posted above and excluding those whose comments do not identify clearly, at the organizer's sole discretion, a maximum of ten cards.

(2) For each winner selected in this manner the organizer shall determine the total number of cards that the winner's comments clearly identified, at the organizer's sole discretion, and whose illustrations match one of the partially obscured images posted above.

(3) Each winner is entitled, for each of their cards thus determined, to have €5 added to their Cardmarket account's balance. All such funds shall be credited no later than ten days after the end of the participation period.

(4) Payment of any prize in cash, in kind, its exchange or transfer to other persons or accounts is not possible.

(5) The organizer may identify winners by username on the organizer's website and/or on the organizer's social media channels.

§ 4 Exclusion from the competition

The organizer may exclude from the competition certain participants who violate these conditions of participation or who attempt to influence the competition or the draw with the help of technical manipulation without notice or explanation. In such a case, prizes may also be subsequently withdrawn and reclaimed.

§ 5 Exclusion of warranty

The organizer points out that the availability and function of the competition cannot be guaranteed. The competition may be terminated or removed due to external circumstances and constraints, without this giving rise to any claims by participants against the organizer. The organizer reserves the right to change the conditions of participation at any time.

§ 6 Liability

(1) The following exclusions and limitations of liability shall apply to the liability of the organizer for damages, irrespective of any other legal obligations regarding claims.

(2) The organizer shall be liable without limitation insofar as the cause of the damage is based on intent or gross negligence.

(3) Furthermore, the organizer shall be liable for the slightly negligent breach of essential obligations, the breach of which jeopardizes the achievement of the purpose of the contract, or for the breach of obligations the fulfillment of which is essential to the proper implementation of the competition and on the compliance with which the contractual partners regularly rely. In this case, however, the organizer shall only be liable for the foreseeable damage typical for the contract. The organizer shall not be liable for the slightly negligent breach of obligations other than those specified previously.

(4) The above limitations of liability shall not apply in the event of injury to life, limb, or health, for a defect following the assumption of guarantees regarding the quality of a product, and in the event of fraudulently concealed defects. Liability under the Product Liability Act remains unaffected.

(5) Insofar as the liability of the organizer is excluded or limited, this shall also apply to the personal liability of employees, representatives, and vicarious agents of the organizer.

§ 7 Data protection information

(1) The organizer collects and uses the data of the participants only insofar as this is legally permitted or the participants consent to it.

(2) The organizer collects the following data from participants and uses the data for the design, implementation, and execution of the competition: usernames and email addresses as well as lists of submitted cards.

(3) Upon request in writing or any text form, participants can at any time receive from the organizer information about personal data stored by the organizer, can request correction and deletion, and can revoke consent to data use.
