Ghosts From the Past: The 2nd Haunting was released a few weeks ago. Obviously the ghost cards and some other reprints are in the spotlight, but there is one specific card that caught my attention: Rookie Warrior Lady, a younger version of the famous D.D. Warrior Lady. This article is about her story.

I want to note two things about this article. Firstly, I will only be covering cards that have been released in the TCG. Secondly, this is my interpretation of the story told through those cards. Yours might be the same or differ, so take this story with a grain of salt.
The First Years
For a long time, it has been known that and are in fact the same monster. We now know what the former one looked like when she used to be .
The Lady of the Wasteland is a skilled warrior and an ally to other famous warrior-type monsters. In fact, it is pretty clear that she and have had some sort of .
She wasn't friends with everyone, though. She had a rival. A rival whom she would have to fight many times in the future. Another warrior, one who can manipulate dragons and whose past is unknown, . The two of them fought and fought, but their fights resulted in a . However, one day things took a weird turn …
The protagonist of the story
A Weird Turn of Events
While fighting with Grepher, a portal opened up out of nowhere. From inside the portal, a monstrous arm and took her with it to a different dimension. The hideous creature that brought her to a separate reality also injured her arm. She treated her wounds and did everything she could to survive in this strange new world.
She trained, and from a simple warrior of the wastelands, she turned herself into a new kind of fighter. A different-dimension fighter. She transformed into . Her with gave her some new powers, which will certainly come in handy in the future.
She is stronger than ever!
A Rival Appears!
While the Lady was training and getting stronger, it seems that her. His journey was successful and he arrived in the same style as . The place he arrived at was neither his own nor a different dimension. It was a space independent of time, and between dimensions.
At first, Grepher couldn't recognize his when he laid his eyes upon the reformed Lady. In fact, he became infatuated with her and attempted to . D.D. Warrior Lady immediately recognized him. As a result, after a while, they started fighting. The battle was pretty one-sided as Grepher was no match to Lady's newly acquired powers. By controlling all the portals around them, .
Rivals will always be rivals!
Return from the Different Dimension
After this battle, the Lady wanted to return home to her original dimension. She searched for a way, but couldn't find anything. After a while, she found to get her back home. If you look closely at her artwork, you can see it in the back. It had always been right under her nose.
In front of the gate, she met , who explained to her how to use it to travel back to her dimension. This time, she wasn't alone in her inter-dimensional trip. went along with her, as well as other famous monsters like . Their trip was .
Back in her reality, the Lady had to adjust once again. Her new powers would not allow her to fight alongside her old comrades. As a result, she decided to become a mercenary. Her loyal friend was on her side. These two, alongside and , were all by a famous . At this point, it is worth noting that both D.D. and D/D both mean Different Dimension, thus the connection of those two in the artwork of .
Grepher Strikes Back
Once more, Grepher did not remain idle while continued her adventure. This time however, he found himself in front of . In this timeline, as it seems that there are multiple ones in Grepher's story, Grepher chose a dark one.
Through multiple events which will be covered in a future article about the story of , he turned into an abominable . A monster that sought vengeance.
At the same time, our Lady went back and forth between her dimension and the different dimension in order to finish her new boss's assignments.
In one of her trips to the D.D., former Grepher, now Lucius, went after . We cannot tell for sure if the Lady recognized her former rival, but she was ready to fight him. . Their fight was fierce, but the outcome was the same as the last . The Lady used her powers and sent to the space between dimensions.
Grepher's story is way more complex and interesting!
Conclusion
Coming to a close, this was the story of the Warrior Lady, growing from a rookie to a warrior of the wastelands, and finally, a warrior of a different dimension. Her adventures got immortalized through the artworks of many cards. She is not the only monster to have received such treatment, though. There are a few others as well.
