Easter Aftermath

A big thank you to the thousands of you who took the time to participate in our Easter egg hunt. On a personal note, your evil Easter bunny also likes to thank so many of you for your lovely comments! It was so much fun to read that "whoever made this [is] a freaking genius" or to see compliments to the "editing department and planning." I planned everything and did all the egg edits by myself. This means, should some of these deviled eggs be too diabolical for your taste, there's only me to blame. All eggs were already planted when we published these articles, so I wanted to hide especially the earliest quite well.

92.4% of contest participants noticed that the edited card's artwork spells out EEkx382.

Quest for the Best: Vintage Quarterfinal #1 (April 1)

Seeing this highly specific version used as an example for the most basic resource in the game may raise red goal flags. 75.2% of participants spotted the card in the first decklist and the EE6ga7k in the sixth line of its big text box.

Quest for the Best Deck Ever: Vintage (March 31)

Apologies to everyone who went through all cards in this article's 27 decklists. Fortunately 81.5% of participants found the EE66ymv in the header image.

Undercover (End) Boss (March 26)

The first decklist once again uses a weird version of a card. Even weirder, the there shows "GREEm5vm5 Zenith" as the title, which 76.9% of participants managed to decode.

We Play Another Set of YOUR Commander Decks (March 19)

This article's header image included a bunch of first names. 76.6% of participants noticed that the EEmm3tt sitting right in the center of the graphic, however, doesn't sit right in that lineup.

Budget Battle with YOUR Pauper, Modern, and Vintage Decks (March 5)

For once the edited card was hidden in the article's last decklist. 69.6% of participants noticed the EE44k82 addition to the art.

What's New at Cardmarket? (2/2026) (March 2)

This article didn't really need to include a decklist. But it afforded me the opportunity to hide EEc85c3 in the illustration of , which 74.3% of participants spotted.

Survival Challenge: Budget Brews Against the Finest Vintage (February 27)

81% of participants saw the EE84282 at the bottom of this header image.

The Class of Powersellers 2026 (February 23)

"EXAMPLE-NAMEEvx26p" may have just looked like a slightly cumbersome placeholder when we published this article. But 80.5% of participants realized its true purpose after Easter.

Cardmarket Sponsored Events, Powered by Gatherers' Tavern (February 20)

Showing a sample Cardmarket coupon gave me the perfect excuse to put EE86637 where everyone can see it but no one would give it a second thought until much later. 82.1% of participants did give it a second thought later.

We Play YOUR Commander Decks (February 19)

The facelift got from our regular graphic designer (the one who isn't evil, even if they had to chop off Fele's head here) was supposed to draw all the attention initially. The EE5v6xp I wove into the fabric in the lower left eventually got the attention of 76.9% of participants.

The History of Commander (February 12)

67.9% of participants noticed that the remains of the battlefield hit by the edited spell out EEt34y5.

Recap of Recent Community Events (1/2026) (February 10)

Here's the one case where it was a good idea to look for Easter eggs on a phone after all, if not yours but rather the one on the table in this photo. 79% of participants spotted the EE74437 there.

EDHREC x Cardmarket (February 9)

Did you ever wonder why we would choose, from all the thousands of possible options, to illustrate a point about Commander? Well, someone was already thinking about the holiday of eggs then. 73.5% of participants found the EE4g862 egg in the Eggman illustration.

The Community's Winter Favorites (February 6)

When I compiled the results of our previous big contest, I noticed two empty fields down at the base of the card. Putting EE65x4k into just one of them looked off, so here's the one code that shows up twice. 73.4% of participants heard the echo.

Staple or Stinker with Taylor (February 5)

65.9% of participants saw the EE5m78c in the bottom right corner of 's art.

Pick Your Kuriboh/bah/beh/bee/boo! (February 4)

68.5% of participants noticed that some vandal scratched EE72tax into the green paint of that window/door frame (left side of the right half).

What's New at Cardmarket? (1/2026) (February 2)

This egg was hidden across space and time. Watch the end of the last line while the image cycles from game to game. 65.8% of participants spotted the EEm2tx2 there.
