The Brave Warrior
courage is undeniable. He has never backed down from a fight. In his past, the warrior faced horrible monsters, having battled and selflessly to to buy his some time. He also . It doesn't really matter whether he won or not—the point is, he did it just for the sake of others.
Grepher is not a lone wolf though. He also fought alongside allies a couple of times, often as a figure among them. As a single , he and his allies battled and other monsters. The warrior has teamed up with very skilled individuals, with as the most recognized and respected. , , and have also accompanied Dai more than once in combat.
A Rival Appears!
Grepher didn't just have allies, but a rival as well: . Although their are all chronicled in a previous article, I will also analyze them here, but from the warrior's point of view.
While fighting the lady, a opened out of nowhere, and she was kidnapped. At this point, Grepher's motive is unclear, but he managed to find a to follow her into the .
Their initial was kinda ridiculous. The lady had changed , and it took Grepher a while to realize he was facing his old rival. As soon as he found out, they started quarreling again. Unfortunately, he stood no chance against the lady's newly found powers, and she back to the Main Dimension.
However, he spawned in a completely which resembled feudal Japan. The people there were surprised by his arrival. He even caught the attention of {c=Yuki-Musume , the Ice Mayakashi||two} who probably were alive during that time.
Choosing A Path
now needed to find his way back to his allies, or even just to a place he was more familiar with. While traveling, he ended up in the place where all the guardians' weapons were .
His initial with one of the gave him a good idea about their power and potential dangers, which made him proceed with more caution and carefully think about what to do next. Such strong weapons would definitely make him more powerful and even surpass his rival.
In a more metaphorical sense, Grepher was now facing . His choices now would affect his life forever.
Will he be humble enough, or will his thirst for vengeance get the best of him? Will he choose the path of light or darkness? Will he walk a path of glory or a path of despair? Well, it's actually going to be everything everywhere all at once, and we are about to see it all. (Yes, Yu-Gi-Oh! card lore explored the concept of parallel universes before it was cool.)
The One of Light …
In this timeline, after his interaction with the Gravity Axe, Grepher approached the . The of this weapon is a thunder, light monster. Upon them, Grepher immediately transformed into a new, more powerful, light version of .
Sadly, not much is known about his adventures from this point onwards. We definitely know he, at some point, went to the Different Dimension as we have from there.
Additionally, on one of his journeys between dimensions, he a weird creature. It looked a lot like the Dai he once was, but far more gruesome and dark.
… and the One of Darkness
In an alternate timeline, Grepher picked the , which initially gave him a . Obviously thrilled by this, he kept using the sword. Ill-fated Grepher had no idea about what was going to happen to him as a consequence.
The sword was cursed with the powers of its , the powers of a dark fiend. The darkness started to Grepher. His appearance began to change. He no longer looked like himself. His mind also became corrupted, and he even his friends and allies.
His thirst for vengeance led his new on a way back to the Different Dimension to fight once more. Even with his dark upgrade, Grepher was still no match for the Lady who easily once more.
This time, was sent to a place in between dimensions and worlds. There, he came face-to-face with his alternate . Both incarnations of Grepher were surprised and confused by this encounter.
After all of this, Grepher kept existing in the form of Dark Lucius. Throughout the years, his inner darkness , leading him to eventually become a huge —a monster like one of those he once fought against.
More Forms, More Futures
So far, so good. We now know the events that would unfold for our hero on each path. But there is more. In other scenarios, turned into a pure of himself, a pure , and a combination of both, . It is unknown how he achieved the chaos form, or how his life continued in these alternate futures.
All these variations could be different outcomes of the he once stumbled upon; it is a certainty when it comes to his . The dark path leads to either or the one that maked him turn into Dark Lucius.
What if Grepher Never Went to the Crossroads?
One final alternate future for our Dai has nothing to do with the guardians' weapons or any paths he had to choose from, although one could argue it could be another outcome of choosing the path of light.
Anyway, this form of Grepher possesses his actual powers that we only saw him use at the very beginning of this story. That array is coming from him.
The warrior who could manipulate dragons crossed paths with and merged with it. The result was him turning into , a strong warrior with a double sword.
Farewell
Now it is time to say goodbye. With the story of Warrior Dai Grepher, the whole series of stories inside cards comes full circle. This has been a very pleasant journey, and I want to thank all of you who read my articles and hopefully enjoyed them.
